Williams Operating Corporation – Tailings Management Facility
Our firm recently completed a contract to upgrade and extend the existing clay core tailings dams and construct two additional dams at the Williams Mine in Hemlo. This tailings containment project entailed the movement of 470,000 m3 of various materials, consolidation of the bedrock base, drilling and blasting of a new emergency spillway and the development of three granular pits.
Lac Des Iles Mines Ltd. – Break Oversized Ore
Lac Des Iles Mines, a leading producer of palladium ore has asked our Company to provide them with equipment rentals and contracted hauling of mine ore. Our latest job with the mine was to assist them in breaking their oversized ore. Blasting from their open pit operations has left the mine with about 600,000 tons of rock that their crusher cannot handle.
